Apparently, per the internet gods, having an About page is important. The reality is that I am just a man who writes about topics that interest me. I’m supposed to dazzle you though with some backstory. I’m supposed to tell you why I do what I do. I’ll keep this short so you can hopefully get back to the content of the site.
My name is Kent Waldron. I used to work for a company that most nerds would think to be a great gig. It wasn’t bad, but I admit to sitting at my desk often thinking about doing something that would allow me to be creative. You can only ask people to make sure their email address matches the one on their account or ensure that the ethernet cable is actually plugged into the device so many times before you get bored. I wanted to make a website where I would write about the things in life that make me happy. Those things are wrestling, movies (especially horror), TV shows, and video games. I have successfully nailed 3 of those 4 topics. Maybe someday I will get to video games as well, but there are people out there doing it better than I can, like Angry Video Game Nerd, so I may just leave that one alone. The other topics are things I have a life long passion for. I started watching horror movies when I was 5 or 6. I started watching wrestling since 1989. I am a fan, a passionate fan. That’s why I am doing this.
Once I had my most recent concussion, I had to resign from that fun company, and that led me here. As much as I usually enjoy my opinion, I knew that it was important to have a variety of perspectives. This is why so many of my blogs and podcasts have other people. It’s important for us to hear each other out, even if we disagree…..especially if we disagree. For the wrestling oriented content, I got my lifelong buddy, Russ, on board and then recruited Keri. They are two people whose opinion I can respect. With movies and TV shows, you will see a bigger variety of contributors. It’s a nice mix of friends that I knew were passionate about the topic and also of people that I am not necessarily close to in my day to day life but had an interest in giving their thoughts and insight.
