The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia (2013)

I wish they hadn’t called this what they did.  The connection to Connecticut is practically non-existent.  I don’t even know of any connection to Connecticut.  Still, this isn’t bad.

We have the Wyrick family who moved to a nice home that used to be owned by a stationmaster of the Underground Railroad.  What that means is that black folks who were trying to escape the south and all that bullshit would go from Stationmaster to Stationmaster until they reached freedom.  The family consists of Andy, Lisa, Heidi, and Joyce.  Heidi is Andy and Lisa’s daughter and Joyce is Lisa’s sister.  Heidi claims to see a Mr. Gordy, but Lisa doesn’t want to believe in it.  Oh, Joyce and Lisa, both can see shit, it runs in the family.  So that irritates me at how Lisa believes that her mom, her sister and she could see stuff, but just ignores Heidi’s claims, despite everything she said having come true.  Lisa was actually quite irritating, but the rest of the characters were well done and enjoyable.

The story is quite good, I’d say just as good as the first one.  I don’t see why anybody would like the first but not this follow up.  I’d watch this again in a few years.  This was my first time seeing it.  I also enjoyed the family dog, Chief.

Rating: 5.8 – If you like these haunting style movies, you should be in for a good time.  Lisa’s character does lower the score ever so slightly.

I am doing a GoFundMe to help pay for the costs to keep 9deuce.com up and running.  I don’t make any money off of the site.  I do it because I love it, but it is expensive at times, and I had to recently renew for 3 years.  So I am asking any of my readers to consider donating if they have the extra funds.  If you don’t, I get it.  It would mean a lot to me.
