Halloween (1978)

I want to start off by saying I am not a huge fan of this movie compared to most everybody else’s. I am not disputing it’s importance in history. I’m not suggesting it is a bad movie. My mom was legitimately excited to show this to me once she figured out I liked these crazy horror flicks. Obviously if you was old enough to see it when it came out, I am guessing it was scary as fuck. It was fun as a kid, but as I grow older, it just isn’t that good. It’s good, but very plodding. All in all, I can’t talk shit about it, it’s very important to the genre I love.

Jamie Lee Curtis is good in her role. Not sure how she became such a big name that she is, but that’s cool. Good for her in True Lies. Good movie. Anyway, I just have very little to say about this movie. It’s been said to death, I’m not gonna criticize, it’s a movie I watch every year out of principle. I’ll probably watch 2,4,5,6,7,8, and Rob Zombie’s as well. Ok, maybe not all of them, but some of them. Let’s face it, I gotta find a way to get through this damn list, and watching mindless dreck like the Halloween franchise is a good way to not have to focus and be mildly entertained.

As for this movie, I give it a 6.6. Yeah, I know it should be higher, but for my personal taste, it isn’t. Sorry.
