13/13/13 (2013)

This is seriously the description for this one, via NetFlix: “When the date flips to 13/13/13 on the Mayan calendar, humans turn insane – except those born on leap days, who are left to battle a world of demons. ” Sound terrible? Yup, I’m sold. (Editor’s note…..mistakes were made)

OK, soooo no blog. Why? Because the acting was soooo bad, I just couldn’t deal with it. I couldn’t blog about this in all seriousness. So this date thing happens, and basically, everybody stops giving a fuck, and it’s like everybody is on day 92 of their period. Lots of “fucks” being said here. People were mouthy and violent. And it just so happened that you had to be born on leap day to not be affected. Worse, there wasn’t some cool old guy to figure it all out. The violence was sometimes charming, but mostly over the top silly. Yes, I did laugh quite a lot. The 2 guys in the living room, they were the worst. The 12 years old beating up a grown man. Everything was just done to elicit a reaction, and not much to continue the narrative. And why, despite everybody hating everybody, were these evil people working together? No, we had just been led to believe that everybody wanted to kill everybody else. It’s like in wrestling when sometimes rules are conveniently forgotten or remembered to further a storyline. This would serve me well if I was really drunk, and that’s not guaranteed.  I didn’t like it. I can’t even say that they tried hard because I don’t think they did. A few actors did try, so props to them, but I have seen better acting in high school theater, and yeah, that is mean, but it’s simultaneously true.

End Film

Final rating: 2.5 This was bad. This would be laughed at if this was a SyFy original films. I don’t wish to insult this film anymore.

Best death scene:  Trevor via Kendra or Marcy’s
