Don’t Kill It (2016)

Maybe the world wasn’t begging for a horror film starring Dolph Lundgren, but perhaps it should have been.  I found this little treat on NetFlix.  If you don’t take things too seriously, I’m talking to you overly serious, pretentious film critic, there’s a lot of fun to be had here.  Along with Dolph, there is Kristina Klebe, who was in a very good film called Dementia, which is currently on HULU, but was on NetFlix in the past.

So the story is that there is a demon looking for a particular host.  While it is in a person, that person goes on a killing rampage.  When someone finally kills the possessed person, they then become possessed, which is why the film is called Don’t Kill It.  The question is how do you solve this issue because the possessed person has extra strength and whatnot.  They do actually have a smart solution.  Even better, they left room for a sequel.

Dolph and Kristina have good chemistry in this one.  You can tell that they were both having a fun time.  Dolph also gets laid by a hot chick, so there is that appeal for the men reading this.  Some of the kills are a tad over the top with the gore, okay more often than not, they are.  That’s a good thing in this type of film that isn’t trying to be overly serious.  If you’re looking to be scared, this isn’t for you.  If you can’t laugh at silly shit, this isn’t for you.  If you have enjoyed Dolph in the past, you should feel right at home.

Rating: 6.2 – I can’t help it.  This is absolutely fun as hell.  Everything about it is appealing to a particular audience.  You’re either going to love it or hate it.  You may shake your head at times, but you should be entertained.  I highly recommend this treat.  It’s on NetFlix currently.

I am doing a GoFundMe to help pay for the costs to keep 9deuce.com up and running.  I don’t make any money off of the site.  I do it because I love it, but it is expensive at times, and I had to recently renew for 3 years.  So I am asking any of my readers to consider donating if they have the extra funds.  If you don’t, I get it.  It would mean a lot to me.
