The Midnight Meat Train (2008)

Not many horror movies can boast about going 4-5 stars deep, This can. It stars Bradley Cooper as our leading man Leon. We have Vinnie Jones as our antagonist. Then there’s the lovely Brooke Shields  (Susan) and Leslie Bibb (Maya). And finally, there is MMA/UFC legend, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.  We’re in good hands. I do enjoy Vinnie a ton.

I don’t know if Leslie Bibb is more hot or cute in this movie. I love her hair in this. I think cute, but not sure.

Leon is an NYC photographer, he is dating Maya. He needs to get a break, so Maya sets up a meeting with this Susan lady who apparently is like a big shot art gallery owner. Well, Leon needs to get some quality stuff. One night is out and about, and see 3 black dudes about to attack and rape this oriental chick. So Leon saves her in a clever manner. After that, she goes on her merry way to the subway, and well, Vinnie Jones awaits her and she got got.  Leon brings the pics to the cops, and this detective is somewhat dismissive. Leon becomes very obsessive over this guy he is stalking, part of it is for work, but eventually, it becomes something far deeper and more captivating. I think therein lies the genius of this movie. I’m gonna shut up now and enjoy the film.

We do see Leslie’s breast briefly, so I’m counting it.

You know what, if you haven’t seen this, you really should. It’s a neat idea. I really liked Bradley, not that I hate him, but he isn’t a leading actor to me, or maybe I just don’t like his choices in roles. I don’t know. But Vinnie Jones kicks ass, as did Rampage. That fight scene was awesome. I’d give it a 7.0, perfectly entertaining and rewatchable movie. More gore than normal. There were some other boobs, but I don’t know how many. I’ll play it safe and only say 2. I recommend this to people who like a damn fine story with their gore and violence.

Final Rating: 7.0
