Silent Hill…..another movie I saw with Amanda. I miss hanging out with that broad. I never got lucky, but I got horror movies and popcorn. That’s a solid outing in my opinion. Silent Hill is underrated treat in my mind. I remember after watching it, I hated it. It left me annoyed because they have all this mystery and intrigue, and they spill the beans in one long ass scene towards the end, so your “aha” moment takes for fucking ever instead of being spread out, like your mother’s legs.
This movie is mainly about the bitches, sorry guys, but it works. Radha Mitchell of Man On Fire fame, and Laurie Holden who is Andrea on the Walking Dead, are the 2 main stars. Then you got the cult and creepy fucks. Then there is Sean Bean who doesn’t die. And what the fuck, that was Kim Coates, AKA Tig from Sons of Anarchy popping up in yet another video game horror movies, as mention in previous blog. Good for you Tig!!! The setting is in and of itself a character. And then of course there is Pyramidhead who is one of the better on screen hosses of all time. You wouldn’t wanna tangle with him.
I don’t want to give too much away, bu t Radha’s daughter goes missing and her and Luarie have to track her down. The town of Silent Hill ain’t quite right and shit just randomly changes at first, making no god damn sense. You learn there is a lot of history here, and tons of scary fucking things. This movie in some ways is just too complicated to describe. Just know there is one of the best/worst deaths in film history here, the burning, you know the scene. All in all, this movie has grown on me. I am giving it a 6.8 because as fond of it as I am, its probably not THAT great. With that, I sleep. No idea what is coming up later this week. Probably some modern shit.
