Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995)

OK, so as long as we pretend that Halloween 3 never happened, is not part of the franchise, I bring to you by far the worst installment. What a fucking travesty. Out of the original franchise, this sadly was the first one I saw in the theater with my mom because she liked the original Halloween. She didn’t like this. As a kid, I remember thinking it was ok, but boring and disjointed. I was an easy movie critic at the time, so you know this wasn’t great.

This ends the thorns trilogy. I hate this whole idea. Danielle Harris is not back to reprise her role as Jamie, so thats a huge strike. The whole beginning scene is insultingly bad. Here, this is directly from IMDB’s Storyline section. “Six years ago, Michael Myers terrorized the town of Haddonfield, Illinois. He and his niece, Jamie Lloyd, have disappeared. Jamie was kidnapped by a bunch of evil druids who protect Michael Myers. And now, six years later, Jamie has escaped after giving birth to Michael’s child. She runs to Haddonfield to get Dr. Loomis to help her again. Meanwhile, the family that adopted Laurie Strode is living in the Myers house and are being stalked by Myers. It’s the curse of Thorn that Michael is possessed by that makes him kill his family. And it’s up to Tommy Doyle, the boy from Halloween, and Dr. Loomis, to stop them all.” The fuck?

Paul Rudd is in this as Tommy, the boy from the original Halloween. SO yes, Paul Rudd did an abysmal horror flick. I am reading that Daniell Harris wanted to come back, but the producers didn’t want her. Fucking morons. By the way, did you read that synopsis? What a clusterfuck. The man in black returns as well. So many bad things here. Sometimes, you don’t need to know why these killers are super natural bad ass hosses. You just accept it and enjoy the ride.

I don’t even want to talk about this anymore. Watch it if you haven’t see it and want to watch the franchise. Just don’t say that I am saying that it is any good. I give this a 4.0. Let’s just move along.
