Well, they bring Angela back. Hopefully, they have just wiped away part 3 from memory. Hopefully…
We are back at the building. They are looking for Angela. We have a Guzman and a Lucas. These guys are getting taken out by the infected and the explosives are due to explode in 4 minutes….make that 3. One here’s Angela scream, and the other dude is like, no time. Well, he is gonna get her, so he finds her. One minute til explosion. You need to haul ass.
She is with a doctor. She is still restrained. She tricks a guy to loosen the restraints, and she attacks him and she is on the prowl. We are on a big ship by the way. Some dude helps her get to the main deck. They are surrounded. Guzman is the dude, and Lucas is getting tested. There was another outbreak, the wedding, and we met the old lady earlier with Guzman. She is the sole survivor of the wedding (part 3). Guzman meets Captain Ortega, he’s an old sea dog. We find out that the government is setting up a lab. Wow, they blew a chance for nudity big time there. Nick is the guy who works the radio. Old lady meets Angela. All the lifeboats are immobilized, and no radio connection. Lucas is out now too.
Everything seems super secretive….duh. I just saw a little underboob or under-boob. 6 straight boobless hours. These military fucks are trying to boss around the black dude, fucking idiots. Guzman introduces Nick to Angela, and he is downloading her footage from the camera. It is probably an hour away from completion. Oh, and the host is missing.
The cook, Edwin, hears something. An angry ass monkey attacks him. He tries to burn it to death. Good call mister. The guys are getting hungry as Edwin hasn’t brought out their food. Well, Edwin is infected. The poor old lady, she was thinking that she was there for the wedding, now thinks that she is in an old folk’s home. She asks Lucas to see Edwin could do up oatmeal or past for her. Well, Lucas gets attacked and seals him in the refrigerator room. The pilot guy has the virus now. The head guy and Lucas inject a retrovirus shot to try to heal Edwin, but not working, and nobody is coming to get them. Nick is seeing crazy shit on the cams. Lucas, Guzman, Angela, and Old Lady are trying to arm themselves.
This is playing out exactly as you would expect. Not a bad thing. This is way better than part 3. Black hoss just took out one infected. Lucas and Guzman get attacked and Old Lady wanders off so Lucas goes to find her, like a jackass. The main engine is leaking oil, but they may be able to use the backup engine.
The scientists see that Angela has the parasite in her via video. Lucas finds the old lady, and she is infected. He escapes a hall of infected, only to have the scientists hold a gun to make Lucas take them to get Angela. They get her and are going to perform surgery now. Of course, they need towels and there’s an infected, another gets bit. Angela escapes. A scientist got bit. They execute him. Time to hunt down Angela.
Angela bit head doctor to prove that she isn’t infected. The parasite must be in Guzman I’m speculating. The parasite will leave it’s host if it finds a stronger host. Dr. Ricarte is the head doctor. He sets the auto self-destruct for the ship to explode in 20 mins. She attacks Guzman who appears to be the host. She ends up falling and is down a level with angry animals. She escapes. Nick is with Lucas. Black hoss just got harpooned. Lucas is getting wrecked and chewed up and Nick is of no help.
We have Nick, Angela, Guzman, and I think Ricarte remaining, plus a pissed off monkey. Nick finds Ricarte, and he has a life raft. He tells Nick that they can leave together, but Nick knocks him out instead. Nick finds Angela, they kill monkeys. Guzman attacks them now. The parasite wants to leave Guzman for Angela again. Nick stops it. They make their run for it. They are on the deck, he inflates the raft, tells Angela to jump. She takes forever to do that. Nick makes the jump just fine. He can’t find Angela. There she is. He gets her up. They start the motor, and there is a big explosion. The parasite is in the water, and a fish eat it.
End film.
I liked this better than part 3 and possibly part 2. The cast was more likable, it was shot as a film. Yeah, I prefer this to part 2. Nick was cool as was the black dude, the head doctor, Lucas and Guzman were welcome additions. Plus stuff on a boat is pretty sweet, it’s a tight claustrophobic feeling. I also liked how easily they left it open for a part 5.
