Zombie Strippers (2008)

You clicked on this.  You know what you’re getting yourself into.  You’re in the right place.

The story is that a soldier gets infected chemo-virus and ends up at this strip club.  We meet all the girls, and the club owner, Ian, who was played magnificently by the always great Robert Englund.  The main stripper, Kat, is played by Jenna Jameson and she is the first to get bit by the infected soldier.  She becomes this super stripper, so then the girls have to decide if they want to be popular like her and make major cash or not make the guys excited.  The girls do kill some patrons and Ian orders Paco, Blavatski, and the DJ to help him clean up the mess.  The girls keep choosing to follow the trend.  People keep dying.  The top 2 strippers have a zombie strip-off fight at one point and it’s pretty fucking great.

Honestly, I expected this to be pure trash, but it wasn’t.  Yes, I am a straight male and I do love all the tits and hot chicks.  That is part of the appeal.  Really though, this isn’t a terrible zombie flick.  You have definitely seen worse zombie flicks if you’re a horror fan.  Robert Englund is probably the best actor here, but major props to Joey Medina for his portrayal of Paco.  I laughed quite a few times at some of their exchanges.  The girls were really decent too.  I am sure others would nitpick too much, but I Jenna and Roxy Saint really did a wonderful job.  Carmit Levite played Blavatski in a fun way.  Keep in mind, you didn’t choose this film for Oscar performances.  You chose this for hot chicks, tits, some laughs, and some gore.  This film 100% delivered on that premise with flying colors.  The first 5 minutes is a tad silly, but just take it in stride.

I’m not sure what to really complain about.  I don’t think the users on IMDB rated this fairly.  Probably a bunch of pretentious assholes and jealous girls who will never be as hot as these chicks.  Also, the guys at the club, like the guys paying for the strippers, they were so freaking funny.  I loved how excited they would get.  It was over the top, but I legitimately got happy when they would get loud and happy.

Rating: 6.0 – Fuck it, I liked this movie a lot.  I had a lot of fun during it.  As I pointed out, the beginning was meh, but the vast majority of this was what I wanted.  It’s a carefree zombie film with some cheesy plot and it exceeded my expectations.  I would recommend this to anybody who is smart enough to figure out what to expect.  Also, Tito Ortiz was pretty funny in this.

I am doing a GoFundMe to help pay for the costs to keep 9deuce.com up and running.  I don’t make any money off of the site.  I do it because I love it, but it is expensive at times, and I had to recently renew for 3 years.  So I am asking any of my readers to consider donating if they have the extra funds.  If you don’t, I get it.  It would mean a lot to me.
